Forgotten to Fabulous

How it works

All of our permanent residents, and almost all of our intakes are the forgotten ones:

  • They don't "show well" in a shelter environment, languish, and get euthanized
  • They are elderly and sick so get euthanized even though their ailments are often easily fixable with just a cheap daily med (almost all hyperthyroid cats that are seniors get euthanized).
  • They are very young and need a lot of care and the shelter is full and no fosters step forward.
  • They are hospice and just need a loving space with pain relief for the time left but get euthanized without ever knowing what real love and care is.
  • They have "behavior" problems (they are actually just terrified because the home they knew abandoned them and they are in a noisy scary place with strangers and their litter is next to their food and they barely have space to turn around.
  • Or their "behavior" problem at home causing their abandonment was due to old age, a medical problem, a dental problem, or neglect.

These cats are the focus of our Forgotten to Fabulous Program.

We need Fosters, some easy and quickly adoptable, some long term, some hospice to save far MORE of these cats thousands of which are euthanized daily across the US.

We provide EVERYTHING including drop off and pick up services: food, litter, toys, posts, medicines, training, veterinary care (we pick up and drop off for that too).

YOU provide love and care, and watch them blossom. And you are always welcome to "Foster Fail" and adopt them yourself (but this is not required).

Foster parents can be in New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New York.

How You can volunteer
